Traders of Tamerlane was founded from a curiosity about yurts, history and nomadic living. One summer in 2004 two brothers building built one yurt in a basement in New Jersey in 2004. Since then a great many friends have joined in their dream of bringing yurts, lanterns and other bits of magic to faires, events, campgrounds and gatherings across the northeast US.
Our Traders are a diverse group of dedicated campers, reenactors, renaissance faire regulars, and wilderness adventurers who share a devotion to crafting, history, campfire gatherings and all things outdoors.
Since we built our first yurt, we have been making magic at events of all kinds with our special combination of yurts, color and light - for nearly 20 years.
