Features designed for you
We bring over twenty years of design experience to every yurt we build, focusing on structures that are a a thoughtful blend of durability, adaptability, and portability. From the materials we select to the way each component fits together, our goal is simple: create yurts that are easy to live with, easy to transform, and strong enough to support years of use. Whether used for camping, events, living spaces, or something entirely your own, our yurts are built to be reliable foundations for whatever you choose to build around them.
Strength & Stability
The strength of a yurt comes from its flexibility. Weight and tension are distributed evenly around the circular structure, and the latticework excels at dispersing weight into the ground, increasing stability. Because of this our yurts are just as comfortable on uneven or sloped terrain as they are on flat ground. This design creates a structure that feels solid while still being portable - the yurt can be deployed totally freestanding and moveable, or can be anchored in place on a deck, flooring, or the ground for even more stability, while in use as a longer-term fixture.
Wind Resistance
The circular shape of a yurt creates an open, expansive interior - and that same geometry is what makes it naturally wind-resistant. Instead of flat walls that catch and fight gusts, wind moves more smoothly around the curved exterior, reducing pressure on the structure. Combined with proper anchoring and tensioning, this allows the yurt to perform confidently in changing weather conditions. Like any structure, performance depends on site conditions and secure installation, but the design itself is inherently aerodynamic - a key reason yurts have endured for generations.
Built-In Hanging & Interior Supports
The same structural frame that holds up the exterior fabric works just as well for items inside the yurt. The wall lattice and roof rafters offer an abundance of hanging points, making it easy to suspend lighting, shelving, décor, signage, or storage beside or above you, before you’ve added even a single piece of furniture. Because this support is built into the structure, valuable floor space stays open and usable. That built-in efficiency makes setup cleaner, layouts more flexible, and interiors far more functional than most portable structures. More structure. Less clutter.
Efficient Footprint
Unlike many tent structures, yurts don’t rely on extensive external poles, ropes, or guy lines. You won’t have tension lines jutting out several feet at 45° angles beyond the structure - reducing tripping hazards and making layouts cleaner and more predictable. That also means every inch of a yurt’s footprint is usable interior space, plus there’s no center pole to interrupt that space. Multiple yurts can be placed close together, integrated into tight sites, or arranged intentionally for events and installations - making them ideal for situations where space matters.
Ventilation & Light Control
The fabric layers on our yurts are completely independent of the structure, so by adjusting the wall fabric, dome flap and even the roof you can adjust airflow and light throughout the day. Open things up to invite breezes and daylight, or tie everything closed for warmth and shelter. Adding additional fabric layers can further improve insulation and weather protection, giving you control over the interior environment in changing seasonal conditions.
Doorways & Custom Openings
Our yurts feature flexible fabric door flaps by default, but the real strength lies in customization. Doorways can be positioned almost anywhere along the circular wall, and multiple doorways can be added to support better traffic flow and layout flexibility. Heights and widths are fully adjustable, and we can size openings precisely to fit off-the-shelf hinged doors if desired.
Window panels with closable flaps and mosquito netting are available, and custom shapes - including rounded cutouts - can be incorporated for projects that call for a more distinctive aesthetic.
Designed to adapt to your vibe
At their core, our yurts are versatile structures - and that adaptability is where they shine. With the right configuration, a yurt can become a guest space, studio, classroom, dining area, lounge, greenhouse, or event environment. Many of our customers use the same yurt in multiple ways over time, reimagining the interior as their needs change. The structure stays reliable; what you build around it evolves
